SEE & DO

THINGS TO DO

Walking & Cycling

We probably don't need to tell you how great Snowdonia is for walking, mountain biking and road cycling! Try the Mawddach Trail, and stop off at the George III Hotel.

Outdoor Adventure

Check out stand-up paddleboarding with SUP Barmouth, adrenaline-fuelled activities at Zip World or canyoning and rock climbing with Snowdonia Adventure Activities

Miniature Steam Railway and Ferry

The Fairbourne narrow-gauge railway is an absolutely charming way to travel to Barmouth. Once you reach the end of the line, a small ferry boat service will take you the rest of the way into Barmouth harbour

Fairbourne

A charming seaside village with a fascinating history and an uncertain future, Fairbourne’s sandy beach, golf course and amusement arcade/ice cream shop provide plenty to do. There are 4 different places to eat:
Indiana, Penrhyn Bar & Grill, Chip Shop & Keebabalons, 2 shops and a deli.

Barmouth

Beautiful beaches, pubs and restaurants. There are donkey rides, trampolines and bouncy castles on the beach, ice cream parlours, a fairground and an amusement arcade. For the more adventurous, try walking the Barmouth 100 Steps to Dinas Oleu (National Trust land) or the Panorama Walk. It’s very difficult to avoid the amazing views, and almost impossible to take a bad photo!

Pony Trekking

Bwlch Gwyn Pony Trekking is just down the road, providing the opportunity to go horse riding on the beach, with unbeatable mountain views.
